On June 17th, we started our every-other-year pilgrimage back to Justin's home state of Idaho. This year we decided to drive across the country. It took us 5 days to go from Connecticut to Idaho, stopping in Ohio, Illinois, Iowa and Nebraska. Jack, Cindy and Luke did a great job riding in the car for 8-10 hours a day. Jack and Cindy watching movies, one after another, the whole time and Luke either slept or played with his Simba. Justin and I couldn't believe how good they did and hope they are just as good when we head back to Connecticut on July 11th.
Jack and Cindy were so excited to stay in hotels. They couldn't believe there was a place that had beds for you to sleep in and breakfast in the morning. They were especially excited when we stayed in one hotel in Iowa that had a pool!
We decided to stop at the Potawatomi Zoo in South Bend, Indiana. Jack and Cindy love zoos so we broke up our drive from Ohio to Illinois by checking out some animals.
We would usually find Luke just like this.
