Jack, Justin and I had a very busy but fun weekend. Justin was really excited that he had a three day weekend. On Saturday, we went to our ward’s Memorial Day Picnic. We had a great time eating and socializing. Jack even let some other people hold him. He is starting to get clinging again to Mommy, Daddy or Grandma. He has even started to lay his head on our shoulders if someone tries to hold him. We love when he does that although he is getting really heavy to carry around so we have to pass him around before our arms give out!

On Sunday after church, we went to my mom’s cousin’s house for a surprise party for my mom’s other cousin and her husband to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. It was great to see a lot of our family again and for them to see Jack. Jack had a fun time being pulled around in a wagon with his cousin Abby who is four years old. He just sat in the wagon holding a baseball for the longest time. Abby liked playing with him and trying to make him smile. We left the party early to get Jack home and into bed but first Sam (my brother’s ex-girlfriend) wanted to see Jack. Sam, along with 15 other people, were over for Matthew and Justin’s (my brothers) Memorial Day party. Jack really likes Sam and played with her for a little while until he started getting cranky for bed.

By Monday, we were all tired from all the partying but we managed to get out of bed (with the help of Jack waking up at 7:30am) to go to the Memorial Day Parade down in Unionville Center. It was Jack’s first parade and he sat in his stroller the whole time the parade went by. It helped a little that grandma gave him a lollipop. It still had the wrapper on and he was just chewing on it until the wrapper started to tear and he ended up sucking on the actual lollipop! We took it away from him which of course made him mad. Jack was bound to get candy sometime but that’s it till he's older!! While we were listening to the speakers after the parade finished, Jack and Justin got their picture taken for a local paper!! Who could resist taking a picture of our cute little boy!!
We had a great three day weekend and can’t wait till Justin is home with us everyday this summer!! We are very excited to be traveling out to Idaho on June 24th for a whole month and can’t wait to see everyone again!
