15 Months Old

Jack is 15 months old now! I can't believe how fast he's growing up. He really turned 15 months on the fourteenth but we had his appointment yesterday. Jack now weighs 25.6 pounds (90th percentile) and is 32 1/4 " tall (60th percentile). So in 3 months he gained about 3 pounds and grew an inch. Jack had to get two shots, one of which was the flu shot. He was not a happy camper but he didn't cry for long and has had no reactions to the shots.

Right now, Jack can say about 20 words, make about 5 animal sounds when you ask him what the animal says, point to 10 body parts and clothes and knows about 11 signs. It is so awesome to hear him speak and see him sign and be able to understand what he wants, when he wants it.

Jack has four teeth on top and four teeth on bottom. His newest one of the bottom was a molar. He has actually been pretty good when he gets his teeth. He doesn't really complain about it because we don't notice he's getting a tooth until it has already come in!

Jack loves to eat and will eat just about anything. He loves any kind of meat and will eat all sorts of vegetables. (I don't really like when he eats corn because he doesn't digest it that good!) His newest favorite thing is avocados. My grandma always has them at her house and he just loves to eat them!

Jack likes to play outside. Although, I took him outside today and he didn't enjoy the cold weather. Usually it's hard to get Jack back inside but he came right with me today. Jack is getting good at putting shapes in the correct holes in his bucket and putting animals in the correct spot on his puzzles. He still loves his doggy and carries him everywhere.

We feel so lucky to have a sweet, funny, smart, curious, most of the time well-behaved little boy. It is amazing to watch him grow and learn so many new things!
